Western Life & Style’s 2024 30 Over 30

Lorinda Van Newkirk, Founder of Lucky Chuck, Named to Western Life & Style’s 2024 30 Over 30

Announced March 29, 2024, Western Life & Style’s second 30 Over 30 class included businesswomen, horsewomen, creatives and more. Among the women nominated and selected, Lorinda Van Newkirk adds one more accolade to her impressive resume in the ag, western, and fashion industries.

 Lorinda Van Newkirk,

known as Lo, is a kick-ass cowgirl wife, a rocking mom, and an expert in all things business. Van Newkirk is the founder and president of Lucky Chuck Brand and Lorinda Van Newkirk Business Connector & Mentoring. She also owns Van Garden Inc. and Lazy Bend River Ranch with her husband, Joel, and 3 Sisters Cattle Company with her parents and two sisters.

With a strong entrepreneurial mindset, Van Newkirk has created success in multiple business ventures, including One Stop Cowboy Shop from 1996 to 2001, Lorinda’s Jewels from 2001 to 2004, with Teskey’s Saddle Shop from 2004 to 2008 and Gypsy Soule from 2003 to 2015. In 2015 and 2016, she co-hosted the ‘Women in Rodeo’ radio show on Horse Radio Network, and she started her consulting and mentoring business in November of 2015, where she is still going strong serving business owners, particularly in the western industry.

In 2020, Van Newkirk created Lucky Chuck, the brand with the perfect performance boot socks. Proven time and time again to be everyone's favorite, durable, tested and tried lucky socks, they have quickly been embraced by well-respected cowboys and cowgirls, and everyone else.

In addition to being a successful and well-recognized businesswoman, she is a true cowgirl at heart, fierce competitor in the arena, friend to many, and dedicated family woman. Van Newkirk manages to balance it all with poise, class, ambition and creativity, growing multiple brands while still prioritizing her family and passions.

Western Life & Style 30 Over 30

Upon seeing a place for another recognition for women in the agriculture and western space, Ali Dee and Nicole James created this list to honor powerhouses that have been involved in growing the western lifestyle for longer and have revolutionized and made a lasting impact on the industry. Upon accepting nominations, the Western Life & Style team sorted through the daunting task of narrowing it down to just 30 women. The program is sponsored by Ali Dee Brand, Alamo Saddles, who donated custom buckles for each lady, Zona Girl Nava Marketing and Montana Silversmiths, who created a commemorative buckle necklace for each honoree.
